Where branches come from

Branches, sub-branches and locations are shared across Mocha products, so they’re created in your organisation settings on the Mocha platform — not inside HRMS. Every Branch picker in HRMS lists the active branches, sub-branches and locations you have access to.

  1. In Mocha, open My Organizations from your account menu, choose your organisation and go to the Branches & Locations tab.

  2. Click + Add Units.

  3. Choose Branch, Sub-Branch (under a branch) or Location (under a branch or sub-branch), fill in the details and click Submit.

“All branches” versus specific branches

Departments, designations, holidays, work schedules, work shifts, overtime rules and leave policies all have the same Branch field:

  • Leave it empty and the record applies to all branches.
  • Pick one or more branches to limit it to them.

Branches and employees

Each employee belongs to one branch. Their branch decides which designations, schedules, shifts, holidays and leave policies apply to them. Moving an employee to another branch is recorded as a transfer from that day, so earlier payslips, attendance and leave keep the branch that applied at the time.
