Where holidays live

Go to
  1. Payroll
  2. Payroll Settings
  3. Holiday Calendar

The tab lists each holiday with its date, source, confidence and an Observed switch. Only observed holidays count as holidays in attendance and payroll.

Add a company holiday

  1. Click Add Company Holiday. You need payroll create permission.

  2. Enter the Holiday Name and Date.

  3. If you have more than one branch, choose the branches it applies to — or leave Branch empty for all branches.

  4. Click Add Holiday. The holiday is added as a full-day holiday and observed straight away.

Stop observing a holiday

Switch Observed off to stop a holiday counting. The day then behaves like a normal working day — employees who don’t punch in show as Absent, and payroll counts it as a working day. Switch it back on at any time. You need payroll update permission.

Source and confidence

Source (National or Company-specific) and Confidence (Confirmed or Verify) are suggested from the holiday’s name. Festivals whose dates move each year, such as Diwali or Eid, are marked Verify — double-check their dates.

Frequently asked questions
