Employee Management
Edit employee details
Update an employee’s employment details, reporting manager, working hours and bank details — and understand what each change affects.
- HR Admin
- Payroll Admin
On this page (4 sections)
Open the edit panel
In Employee Management, click the pencil icon on the employee’s row — or open their profile and click Edit.
Change the details you need. The sections are the same as when adding an employee.
Click Save Employee. You’ll see “Employee updated successfully.”
What changes affect
| You change | What happens |
|---|---|
| Branch | A transfer is recorded in the employee’s branch history, effective today. Leave types and balances follow the new branch. |
| Work Schedule or Work Shift | The new schedule starts today and the previous one ends. Past attendance keeps the old schedule. |
| Reporting Manager | The new manager can approve the employee’s leave requests. |
| The employee record updates, but the employee’s portal sign-in email does not change automatically. | |
| Status | Active or Inactive — see Deactivate or delete an employee. |
Add or fix bank details
Bank details are encrypted and visible only to users with an organisation-wide HR or administrator role. On the profile they’re masked until you click Show.
Edit the employee and open Banking Details.
Enter the Bank Name, Account Number, Routing Number (IFSC for Indian accounts) and Account Type.
Click Save Employee.
If only part of the record saves
“The employee's core details were updated, but one or more profile sections failed to save.” means the name, email and employment details saved, but a section such as education or banking didn’t. Reopen the employee, check the section and save again.
