Introduction
The Quotes & Proposals module lets you price work for a client, get their approval, and collect signatures, all in one place. Open it from Quotes & Proposals in the left menu.
- A quote is a priced offer for specific work (IDs start with Q, e.g. Q-2026-017).
- A proposal is a broader pitch for a piece of work (IDs start with P, e.g. P-2026-002).
Quotes and proposals follow exactly the same process. Everything in this guide applies to both: wherever it says quote, the same steps work for a proposal. Start a proposal with + New Proposal instead of + New Quote.
Every quote or proposal moves through six stages:
The client approves the price first; only then do you send it for signature. If the client rejects it at the approval step, it doesn't move on to signing.
