Introduction - Recurring Invoice

A Recurring Invoice is an invoice that is sent to your customer at regular intervals of time.

Let’s understand this better with the help of an example. Today is October 10, 2024, and you are creating a recurring invoice with a start date of October 15, 2024, on a monthly basis, with an end date of December 15, 2024. So, the first invoice will be generated on October 15, 2024, next on November 15, 2024, and the last invoice will be generated on December 15, 2024. If you create a recurring invoice that “Never” ends, you will have to stop the recurring invoice in the future by going to the Recurring transactions settings page.

The workflow of an invoice in Mocha Accounting is as follows:

  • After you create a recurring invoice, the next recurring invoice will be automatically generated after a period.
  • Record the payment for the recurring invoice manually.
  • Stop a recurring invoice if you no longer wish to generate it.
  • Perform other actions on the recurring invoice such as Edit, Delete and Pause.
