Purchase Order-Introduction

A purchase order is a legal document, sent to the vendor by the buyer indicating information about the items they want to buy, their quantities, and their prices. It's a formal offer to buy specific products or services at a specified price. No journal entry is created for this transaction. When the vendor accepts the purchase order and agrees to the given terms it can be converted to bill and journal entries will be created.
