Getting Started

The Project Management module gives you a single, organized place to plan, track, and collaborate on all your projects — from large construction builds to small service engagements. This section walks you through the basics so you can get up and running quickly.

Accessing the Module

  • Log in to your Mocha Technologies platform account.
  • Click Project Management in the main navigation bar.
  • If you do not see this option, contact your account manager to confirm that project tracking is included in your plan.

Tip: Bookmark the Projects page in your browser for one-click access. Your URL will look like: https://app.mochatechnologies.com/projects

Your Dashboard at a Glance

The Dashboard is the first screen you see when you open Project Management. It gives you a real-time snapshot across all your projects without needing to open each one individually.

Summary Cards

At the top of the dashboard you will find four summary cards:

  • Total Projects — Every project on your account, regardless of status.
  • Active Projects — Projects currently In Progress.
  • Completed Projects — Projects that have been marked fully done.
  • Overdue Projects — Projects past their end date that are not yet completed. These need your attention.

Tip: Each card shows a trend arrow (↑ or ↓) comparing your counts to the previous 30 days — so you can see at a glance whether your workload is growing or decreasing.

Charts & Visual Reports
  • Project Status Chart — A donut chart showing what proportion of your projects are in each status. Hover over any segment to see the exact count and percentage.
  • Monthly Progress Chart — A bar chart showing completed vs. in-progress tasks for the last 6 months. Use this to spot trends and busy periods.
Recent Activity Feed

The activity feed shows the most recent changes across all your projects — tasks added, members assigned, statuses updated, and more. Click "View All" to see the complete history.

Project Status Explained

Every project displays a color-coded status badge so you can understand at a glance where things stand.

Status BadgeWhat It Means
PlanningProject has been created but work has not yet started.
In ProgressActive project — work is currently underway.
On HoldTemporarily paused. A reason is usually noted in the project.
CompletedAll tasks are finished and the project has been closed.
OverduePast the end date with work still incomplete — needs attention.

Note: Statuses update automatically in some cases — for example, a project becomes Overdue when its end date passes and it is not yet Completed. You can also update status manually at any time from the project detail page.
